Fashion and Makeup Tricks For The Lazy Beauty

I was going through all my posts and realised that there isn't a single one on fashion. It's a little cliche since the blog is named Mummynista... Hence I decided that I should probably start blogging a little more on fashion and beauty and not just food. Otherwise, I might just need to change the blog name to Fatmamanista. *cackles* If you've read ' About Me ' or knew me personally back then, you would probably know how much I used to dress up. Everyday WAS  'I need to be fabulous' day. However since pregnancy and giving birth, my fashion laziness just escalated. Nevertheless, I need to reinforce the emphasis of still looking good. Even as wives, we still need to stay competitive...if you get what I mean. I go by these subconscious rules nowadays: 1. Buy clothes that does not require ironing. Have at least one body flattering jeans. 2. Scarfs are my best friends on lazy days. 3. To look like I've put in some effort dressing up- wear sandals i...

Dinner Buffet At The Ritz Carlton, Asia Restaurant (Mega Kuningan)

To 'celebrate' our successful week in Jakarta, I suggested to G that we should do a nice dinner at the Ritz just across the street. It was actually just an excuse to have a variety of food that I would like- satisfying both my Sashimi and Bakso (Indonesian meatballs) cravings at the same time. So we arrived at the Ritz, just 2 minutes drive or 5 minutes walk from our apartment and was greeted once again, by an entourage of friendly and eager staff (seems like every slightly higher end place in Jakarta practise this). I was pretty looking forward to the dinner as I'd thought that the Ritz will probably have one of the best buffets in town (I am a huge buffet lover). I almost wanted to turn around and walk out of the r...

Hot Yoga In Jakarta

So I haven't done yoga since I got pregnant...which makes that about 2 years since I've exercised at all? I went back to work right after 4 months of maternity leave (that's Singapore for you; why would anyone be surprised with the low birth rate), and maybe it's all excuses but I was either too exhausted to go work out after work or I just wanted to spend time with Alex. Anyway...since Jakarta is an embarkment of a new beginning (especially me not needing to work for the time being!), I decided that I should start a routine of good habits! So my very first destination, alone in Jakarta is... the yoga studio called Yoga@42   which I was extremely delighted to find.   They have two branches, one in Senayan and the other one in Kemang. I went to the Senayan branch which is very near to Senayan Plaza and FX mall. Plaza Arcadia Senayan (Don't confuse it with Plaza Senayan right across the street!) On the left once you climb the steps to the second floor. ...
