My Indonesian girlfriend and I decided to check out this cafe- Tana Merah Coffee Shop for brunch last Saturday. Tana Merah Coffee Shop is located near Thamrin City amongst a row of shophouses. It is quite hard to find if you are going there for the first time. Just give the cafe a call (like we did) and they will give you or your driver precise directions to the cafe. This post will have lots of foodporn! Yay! For once, I made a conscious effort to take pictures of the food before digging into it. The reason I can't be a food blogger (despite I am such a foodie!) is that I can barely have the discipline to take pictures of all the delicious yummy dishes before I already poked one of my utensils in. Anyone who has been to Seminyak Bali would probably face the dilemma we have- too many choices, too little time. It's like entering a Disneyland of cafes, restaurants, boutiques and spas. On our last day of Bali, we decided to make very wise decisions about where to have our final meals. (Haha..sounds very sombre!) With great determination and a better functioning GPS this time (after our failed attempt to find this cafe the day before), we found this treasure cove of coffee- Revolver Espresso. Raved by many bloggers as the best coffee joint in Bali Seminyak! Situated in an alley at the busy streets of Seminyak, one would never know such a quaint and great cafe exist. The easiest way to identify the particular alley is to notice Bali Clinic which on the opposite street. Seminyak Square is also just a stone's throw away. Amazing ambience for a 'hole-in-the-wall' cafe. Opted for a iced Latte after such a long walk.  So yummy! Some blend of scrambled eggs...

I was meeting someone there and he suggested Djournal. I went there for the first time and I fell in love with it. So I brought G there after Church yesterday. I love the rustic blend of contemporary and vintage. Mint Mojito Coffee. Very interesting flavour and the blend of coffee is fragrant.  I just love, love, love all the little details they put into the decor. G had a chicken wrap. I had the Aglio Olio. G is an avid Starbucks fan and he agreed that this cafe is indeed very nice in many ways. Coffee is quite fabulous and I like the Lychee Tea (I'm not a coffee drinker). What I like about the place is that it is kind of hidden; not too busy and have a wide selection of drinks as well as some cafe food.  It is a great place to have some alone me-time and also a lovely hang out place with friends. It is a self service place so you don't get interrupted by rude waitresses or feel any pressure to not linger too long. Overall 9/1...
