Car Free Sunday in Jakarta Downtown

We were heading to church at IES (International English Service), when we realised that both routes that the GPS recommended were all blocked. We got down and decided to check it out. Totally not geared in any sporty outfits, we looked pretty out of place strolling in my yellow jumpsuit(wore this especially for church! Yellow = happy...haha) and Ferragamos.

We thought it is a really great movement implemented by the Indonesian Government. You could really find groups of friends and family gathering for this; either just strolling, sitting along the road, cycling, etc.

We would definitely bring Alex for one of these Car Free Sundays!

And by the way, if you do not want to get hit by any bicycles, follow the same rule as you would do when crossing the Jakartan roads- Keep the same pace and keep walking.

Facial Treatment at Miracle Aesthetic Clinic (Kemang, Jakarta)

I am sure those who frequent Kemang will not fail to see the big white building with a huge signage- Miracle Aesthetic Clinic. Buy and Eat Cheap Seafood in Jakarta: Everfresh Seafood

Alright I've already shared the other day on where you can get cheap and good imported meat ( read post here if you have not). Now I'll complete the meat loop and share where you can get great and fresh seafood in Jakarta without damage to your wallets! You'd have to check out Everfresh Seafood. Sounds cheesy? I know right..but who cares when you can finally stop buying old stale fish from the supermarkets in Jakarta or stop being ripped off at 'Bule' stores. You will probably need a good driver and sharp eyes to spot the place. Very inconspicuously hidden. An array of fish and other seafood. You can pick your seafood, how you want it cooked and they'll cook it on the spot! When you enter the place, you will notice that there's mostly locals, which is a very good sign that the price will not send you a panic attack. Dinner at Union (Plaza Senayan Courtyard)

After almost an hour of traffic, we arrived at Super Steak. To our dismay, it was closed... Due to my sudden dyslexia, I didn't spot that it was listed on the website that the restaurant is closed on Monday. *Angst* Needed a quick plan change since we were on a cab; we headed to Union at Plaza Senayan which was nearby. Union is highly raved in Tripadvisor and some online portals, hence I was looking forward to some good food. Tucked away in Departmental Store Sogo. 1st Floor. Nice interior and ambience.
